Seven Days Program to Stress Management

They say there's more than one way to skin a cat. The same goes when you start tearing your hair out with all the frustration, grief, anxiety, and yes, stress. It's a state of mental conditioning that is like taking that bitter pill down your throat, causing you to lose your sense of self, and worse your sanity. Just thinking about it can drive anyone off the edge.

And they say that the proactive ones are already living off the edge.

As one stressed-out person to another, I know how it feels, and believe me there are many variants when it comes to stress. Coping with life, and carrying the problems that may or may not belong to you can scratch away the little joy and happiness that you can carry once you head out that door. You can't blame them for being like that; they have their own reasons, so much like we have our reasons to allow stress to weigh us down. They say that stress is all in the mind, well, what's bugging you anyway?

There are several ways to manage stress, and eventually remove it out of your life one of these days. So I'll try to divide it into a seven-day course for you and I promise it's not going to be too taxing on the body, as well as on the mind.

1. Acknowledge stress is good
Make stress your friend! Based on the body's natural "fight or flight" response, that burst of energy will enhance your performance at the right moment. I've yet to see a top sportsman totally relaxed before a big competition. Use stress wisely to push yourself that little bit harder when it counts most.

2. Avoid stress sneezers
Stressed people sneeze stress germs indiscriminately and before you know it, you are infected too!

Protect yourself by recognizing stress in others and limiting your contact with them. Or if you've got the inclination, play stress doctor and teach them how to better manage themselves.

3. Learn from the best
When people around are losing their head, who keeps calm? What are they doing differently? What is their attitude? What language do they use? Are they trained and experienced?
Figure it out from afar or sit them down for a chat. Learn from the best stress managers and copy what they do.

4. Practice socially acceptable heavy breathing
This is something I've learned from a gym instructor: You can trick your body into relaxing by using heavy breathing. Breathe in slowly for a count of 7 then breathe out for a count of 11. Repeat the 7-11 breathing until your heart rate slows down, your sweaty palms dry off and things start to feel more normal.

5. Give stressy thoughts the red light
It is possible to tangle yourself up in a stress knot all by yourself. "If this happens, then that might happen and then we're all up the creek!" Most of these things never happen, so why waste all that energy worrying needlessly?

Give stress thought-trains the red light and stop them in their tracks. Okay so it might go wrong - how likely is that, and what can you do to prevent it?

6. Know your trigger points and hot spots
Presentations, interviews, meetings, giving difficult feedback, tight deadlines…. My heart rate is cranking up just writing these down!

Make your own list of stress trigger points or hot spots. Be specific. Is it only presentations to a certain audience that get you worked up? Does one project cause more stress than another? Did you drink too much coffee?

Knowing what causes you stress is powerful information, as you can take action to make it less stressful. Do you need to learn some new skills? Do you need extra resources? Do you need to switch to decaf?

7. Burn the candle at one end
Lack of sleep, poor diet and no exercise wreaks havoc on our body and mind. Kind of obvious, but worth mentioning as it's often ignored as a stress management technique. Listen to your mother and don't burn the candle at both ends!

So having stress can be a total drag, but that should not hinder us to find the inner peace of mind that we have

A Real Secret About Achieving Success?

Isn't it great to finally understand that nothing
is holding you back from succeeding except
taking action?

Bottom line: If you're persistent and take action
on a daily basis you can have success in your life.

Not convinced yet?

Ok, let's plod on because you will be.

All you have to do is be persistent about working
toward what you want and BINGO! You'll get there!

Being super-smart has nothing to do with success.
The average guy or gal has the same chance of
success as anyone, as long as they work a little
every day towards their goal.

Isn't that great news! You don't have to be special,
or rich or have an advanced degree - you just need
to be persistent!

There is one thing you need to do to keep yourself
motivated toward success. At least it helps me and
I know it works.

"Real students of success love to read about
successful people in their chosen field."

Why?

Because you can 'learn' from them… see what
other successful people are doing - how they
overcame obstacles, setbacks and disappointments.
You can overcome anything once you know how
by using role models.

For example, great students of "creating wealth
from businesses" love to read 'biography of
successful entrepreneurs'.

If the idea of spending your whole week to
read a book turns you off, then think of it as a
learning experience.

If you still hate it... then you probably should consider
a field other than 'starting businesses'. There's no
shame in saying your just not cit out for it. Move on
and do what you really love.

You have a choice to make like find another business
to be in. I love marketing and self-improvement –
whether it's online or offline. It's the most exciting
business I can ever hope to be involved in.

But If I ever stop learning, I'm dead... you have to be
a “student” in business if you're going to succeed
online or offline.

Before I close today, I want to leave you with
an important point.

This lesson is pretty simple but very, very important.

What's the lesson?

Persistency is important to be successful. Second lesson,
ordinary people can be successful. It doesn't take
super-smart people to achieve that.

You "Chan" Do It!

Jack Canfield's Success Principles

I’ve learned about the success principles from Jack Canfield. In his book “The Success Principles”, Jack Canfield presents the sixty-four principles which, if learned and practiced, can help everyone to realize their goals. The principles that he teaches are timeless. He did not invent them, but collected them from many successful people. He has learned and practiced them himself, and has presented them in his excellent book. He was able to present the great knowledge in a clear and easy to understand way.
I’ve chosen and briefly described the ten principles from Canfield’s book which I think are most important.

Gratitude and the Law of Attraction

Gratitude or appreciation of what we already have is necessary to attract things we want. Every day when you wake up try to be thankful. Think about the good things in your live you should be thankful for. Appreciate your job (even if you don’t like it). Feel gratitude for a place to live. If you have some food, some friends or anything else you can find to appreciate, appreciate it. A lot of people don’t have enough even basic things like food, water and their own place to live. It’s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.

Do You Know What's The #1 Success Secret Is?

How many people do you hear complaining about their job, where they live, how little money they have, or how they can never take a vacation?

How many times have you heard those same people, when they hear about someone else who made a lot of money from an idea, say, “I could have done that!” But yet, they didn’t.

And they continue to complain about where they are in life.

A friend of mine owns a dog grooming business, and she buys supplies from another pet business in town.

One day, as she talked to the owner, she found out that the owner’s husband made liver treats for dogs—he bought liver at wholesale, cut it into thin strips, dried it, packaged it, and retailed it to pet businesses. Eventually he got a contract with a distribution company and was doing very well with what started out as a simple side business.

Got Life?

Milk, as the T.V. commercial says, may do a body good; but, Manifesting does LIFE - your Life - that much better.

From candy bars to relationships … the stories are coming in. Things, events, and people are appearing in people’s lives, not by accident, but by conscious choice . . . and even by Unconscious thought patterns and counterproductive beliefs (yes, the good, bad, and ugly CAN be manifested).

Let me explain:

(( First the GOOD ))

One guy, I know, told me while doing errands he wanted a specific premium-style (Paul Newman brand, I think he said) candy bar so bad he could practically taste it. It wasn’t at the one local health food store that is normally the only place in town to get it. He was discouraged, but not defeated. To him, it’s the best-tasting, most scrumptious premium-quality candy bar in the world.

While driving back to work, he thought about it more - the type he wanted (white chocolate) and the reason for having it (a nutritious snack that would hold him over until dinner). 30 minutes go by and the thought leaves his head after being consumed back in the priorities of life (incoming calls and the business of the day). He stops to get gas at a convenience store that he has never stopped to get gas before. As he’s walking back from the back of the store with his beverage, he walks past an Isle of snacks. There, to his amazement, is one Paul Newman candy bar - just the flavor he was craving - sitting at the top of a shelf all by itself. It made his day!

So, you ask, what’s attracting a premium-brand, hard-to-find candy bar have to do with manifestation?

In short EVERYTHING!

The real-life story above is a perfect example of one of the key principles talked about throughout our ‘Manifestation Portal’:

DECIDE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT - TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CAN PRACTICALLY FEEL IT, SMELL IT, TASTE IT!

Some people might call the result of this man’s want ‘just coincidence’ … but, come on, is there really such a thing? Remember, if you are to believe and accept that your thoughts create your reality, then you can create anything you want, not by coincidence, but by allowing your thought energy to LEVERAGE the universe (this concept is talked about in one of my conversations).

Another mentor I interview puts it like this:

“If you’ve already had what you want to have again, the fastest way to manifest it a second, third, or forth time around is to appreciate it first by feeling the FEELING it gave you before. Then imagine, again, how it feels to have what you desire RIGHT NOW. Think, speak, and feel as if it has already come true.”

Here’s another real-life manifesting story by somebody who decided to share this with me:

As told in her own words:

“A lot of the conversations I’ve listened to, via your portal, over the past 3 days have really hit home for me - some were kind of painful at first … only because it’s not always easy to admit to yourself that you’ve been the one self-inducing the drama cycle … but, what I must tell you is that I, as you warned me about inside the MY STORY section, took my bad medicine in order to release what’s been blocking my progress in the relationship department. Everywhere I’ve gone over the past several years - places, meetings, social get-togethers - I’ve always experienced meeting the same type of man - cold, distant, cocky, not open. I was getting to a point of frustration until, one day, somebody came along and said, ‘_____, have you ever sat down and tried letting go of the past, by recognizing what you keep seeing in men is the result of where your attention has been. I bet you’re so afraid of not getting involved in another one-sided relationships, that you can’t even focus on what type of personality and character traits in a guy that you want to have NOW’.

“That was certainly a turning point for me, but I wanted to tell you that the information in your portal - especially the extensive report that lists 17 ways to unleash gratitude in your life - has taken the advice I was given and has really fleshed it out for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you … I will quit being unhappy about what I’ve had in the past and learn to be more present about what I want in a partner.”

This is a perfect example of another key principles talked about throughout our ‘Manifestation Portal’:

FOCUS ON PRESENT-DAY FUN, NOT YESTERDAY’S FEARS AND SETBACKS!

The ‘Law of Reciprocity’ basically says: whatever we see in the universe sees us. Whatever attitude, feelings, thoughts and desires we put out, regardless if they are negative or positive, return to us.

Ask yourself: “What am I feeling now?”

That one self-directed question can cause major changes for you. It determines what follows in your life.

In other words, from what I’ve learned throughout my conversations with these top manifesting mentors, your feeling about something (like, in the example above, a stereotype of the opposite sex) sets your vibration and the vibration (remember, its all energy) predicts what will come next. The key is to figure out, ahead of time, what vibration you set off about something.

For instance, if you’re unhappy about your “relationship”, do you think that will cause you to experience a much BETTER one ?

Probably not, right?

Here’s why:

Because like energy attracts like energy, and your vibration (feeling) about relationships is an “unhappy” one, you’ll continue to find and see even more people that you ‘think’ are making you even more unhappy about your relationships.

But, there is a way to change all this … a way to install a new vibration that will miraculously and quickly turn around whatever “unhappy” thing you keep experiencing.

You can learn the DETAILS from several of the conversations inside our portal.

Whatever you decide to do, always remember:

- Life doesn’t have to be a struggle. The purpose of your life is to learn, grow and develop, get fantastic results, and have fun while doing it.

- Everything you experience in your lives is invited, attracted and created by you. Consciously, or unconsciously, you create your own personal reality. The goal is to do the former.

- The universe, via the Law of Creation, bluntly says: “I don’t care or question why you are vibrating (feeling) a certain way - its your choice ya know. I simply bring forth the people, places, events, and things that match your vibration.”

- Beliefs shape the way you feel, think and act. The key is to have a method or person to help you dig deep enough to find out what you truly believe about something and then, have a method or person, to help you determine whether the belief is self-limiting or constructive.

- Using the Law of Gratitude is the one of the under-utilized methods to high-performance achievement and personal success because the grateful mind continually expects good things and it keeps you connected to your power of creation.

—> Our mission is to continually provide the most compelling, benefit-dripping, leading-edge information on the art & science of manifestation and all knowledge related to new thought spirituality and metaphysics. We house this inside our Desktop Manifestation Portal.

We hope to have you as a satisfied customer soon! It’s one of the best investments, in yourself, you can make.

The Metaphysics of Prosperity

By Randy Gage

You were born to be healthy, happy, and prosperous. You were born to be rich.

“Oh c’mon Randy,” you ask. “Do you really believe that everyone in the world can be wealthy?”

As a matter of fact, I do. Now I also understand that each person will only manifest their prosperity to the degree that they understand the consciousness that provides it. And I know there are a lot of confused people in the world right now.

Reality and Innovation

By Edwin Harkness

This past week a reader forwarded me an article from Business Week, entitled Is Reality the Enemy of Innovation?

The author explained that what we think of as reality is merely a model, which can change. He cited examples of scientific theories that had changed over time, and concluded that if we keep this in mind, we have a better chance of creating the future vs. reinforcing the past.

1) Take100% Responsibility for Your Life

The first principle states that there is only one person who is 100% responsible for my life-it is me.
This is the first principle of success. If we want to be successful in life, we first have to take total responsibility for our lives. We’re responsible for all our successes and failures, health, relationships, financial situation, our feelings and everything else.

It is me who has created the life I am living now so I must take full responsibility for it. If I don’t take full responsibility, I can’t achieve things which are important to me and I can’t re-make my life.

To really take 100% responsibility for our lives, we must stop blaming others for our problems and failures. We have created our current situations by our thoughts and activities so there is no reason to blame anybody. We can blame only ourselves, but that is also useless because the past is the past; we can’t change it. But now we can create our future. We have always had the power to do it, but for different reasons we haven’t. Now we can do things differently and get the results we want. This is because of the rule: E+R=0(Event +Response=Outcome). The rule says that every outcome we experience in life (good or bad) is the result of how we responded to the previous events in our lives.

We can see that in the same situations people react differently. Some are successful, some are not. We can see that, by responding in a different way, we can get different results. That is why blaming events for our failures are pointless. We must change our responses to the events and then we can get the results we want. We don’t have control over a lot of the events in our lives, but we have control over our responses. We can change our thinking, our behavior, and our communication. We can also change our old habits into the new, better ones.

Jack Canfield states that “Everything you experience in life – both internally and externally – is the result of how you have responded to a previous event”. Everything I experience today is the result of the choices I have made in the past. I have control over three things in my life: my thoughts, my visualizations and my actions. So to change my life I need to change my thoughts, my visualizations and my actions to positive ones. If I keep my negative responses from the past I will keep getting the same negative results, so now is the time to stop complaining and blaming others for my bad results and take full responsibility for my life.
This principle is the prerequisite to a successful life. It is the basic principle. I personally started with this principle because without this principle I wouldn’t be able to implement the other principles.

2)Believe it’s Possible

According to this principle, we are able to achieve whatever our minds can conceive and believe. Jack Canfield explains why our brains work this way and gives some examples but the important conclusion for us is that we must replace all our negative expectations with positive ones, and then our minds will start working to accomplish the outcome we want.
People often do not reach their goals, not because they lack required skills, but because they don’t believe they can reach them.

3) Believe In Yourself

This principle is connected with the previous one. I am able to achieve whatever my mind can conceive and believe, so I must believe in myself. If I want to create the great and successful life I desire, I must believe that I can make it happen. I have to believe that I have all the abilities, skills and inner resources to do it.
I need to choose to believe that I can achieve whatever I set my mind on. If I think that something is impossible to achieve, I will not do everything necessary to achieve it. If I believe that it is possible for me to achieve something, I will do everything necessary to achieve it.
To be successful I need to give up “I can’t”. My brain is able to solve any problems I give it and reach any goals I have, but my negative words and thoughts have a negative and limiting influence on my mind, so I give up all my negative thoughts and words.

Jack Canfield gives some examples which prove that belief in you is more important than knowledge, training or schooling. Quite a few very successful people dropped out of college.

4) Release the Brakes

According to this principle, most people drive through life with their psychological brakes on. The brakes are negative images about themselves, inaccurate beliefs about reality, guilt and self-doubt.
These brakes cancel out people’s good intentions, no matter how hard they try.
Successful people release the brakes.

All our unfounded beliefs are like prison. They don’t allow us to go out and reach our goals, so first we must get out of our self-imposed prisons. The author presents three methods for doing it. They are: a) affirmations and positive self-talk b) creating powerful and compelling new internal images of having, doing and creating what we want c) changing our behavior.

5) See What You Want, Get What You See

This principle is about visualization. Visualization is the act of creating compelling and vivid pictures in your mind.

Jack Canfield gives a scientific explanation for why visualization works. What is important for me: “Visualization simply makes the brain achieve more”. When I visualize my goals in my mind as already achieved, my subconscious mind will work to turn my visualizations into reality.

The author explains the process of visualization and gives a few examples to prove that visualization works. The process is quite simple. I need to close my eyes and see my goals as already achieved. To make the process more powerful I should add sounds, feelings and emotions to my pictures.
The emotions are the most important ingredient of visualization. We must enjoy the visualization. It can’t be a chore. Doing visualizations properly we feel happy doing it, and we are creating happy future.

6) Take Action

Many people spend time analyzing, planning and organizing but they fail to take action. Successful people also do these things, but they always take action. They are very eager to take action.
When I take action things start happen. I have observed that I learn much more quickly while I am in action. Things become clear. The next steps become obvious.
The point is: “To be successful, you have to do what successful people do, and successful people are highly action-oriented”.
There is no point in being too cautious, because even if I make some mistakes I can learn from them, and can still achieve my goals. If I do not take action because I am too careful or afraid, I will not reach my goals anyway. Taking action brings satisfaction, too.

7) Commit to Constant and Never Ending Improvement

This principle says that if I want to be successful, I must always try to do things better. I must always try to improve, so I need to look at my goals, and I need to find out what I need to improve to achieve them better and faster.

Canfield advises making small, achievable steps which we can easily improve. In this way we will not become overwhelmed and discouraged because something seems too difficult to achieve or do.
To improve takes time. It does not happen overnight, but if I improve and learn a little bit every day, one day my skills and knowledge will be very useful in my life.

8) Practice Persistence

Persistence is one of the most important qualities of successful people. There are always a lot of obstacles in life, so without persistence it is impossible to achieve much.
People often quit just before reaching their goals, because they lack persistence. But “If you hang in there long enough, you will eventually reach your goal.”

9) Learn More to Earn More

This principle is about learning. The more I learn and the more knowledge I acquire, the more successful I can be.

Canfield recommends reducing the time I spend on watching television and using this time for reading. He suggests reading inspirational books, books on psychology, finance, sales, health etc. He also recommends reading biographies of great people.

Another way to learn is to attend success rallies, conferences and retreats. To learn from other people I must be teachable. That means that when I have the opportunity to listen or learn something from people who know more than I do, I should listen and try to learn from them and not try to impress them. Some humility is required.

10) Start Now! ... Just Do It!

According to this principle, “There is no perfect time to start” so let me start now. As Canfield says, “Once you start moving and producing results, all manner of things begin to happen that will take you further and faster than you ever imagined”.
